Terms of Service

1. Our role

MyTeamPledge provides fundraising tools for teams and organizations. We host fundraiser pages, process contributions through our payment providers, and report results. We are not a party to any fundraiser; each fundraiser is created and controlled by its organizer.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must be eligible to form a binding contract to create an account and act as an organizer. Organizers act on behalf of their team or organization and must have authority to do so.

3. Organizer responsibilities

  1. Be authorized to fundraise on behalf of the team or organization.
  2. Describe the fundraiser, its purpose, and its goal accurately.
  3. Use funds consistently with the stated purpose, representations, and applicable law.
  4. Keep account credentials secure and account information current.

4. Proceeds and participant attribution

The team or organization is the beneficiary of all fundraiser proceeds. Participants (players, coaches, staff) are attribution points: the platform may display the support generated through each participant, but participants do not personally own, control, or receive payouts of those proceeds. See the Fundraising Policy.

5. Payments, fees, and payouts

Contributions are processed by Stripe and, where the organizer has connected a payout account, paid to that account. MyTeamPledge charges a platform fee (currently 3% of the intended contribution). Standard U.S. online card processing is typically 2.9% + $0.30 per successful transaction through Stripe. Actual processing fees may vary based on payment method, card type, international cards, currency conversion, or other Stripe pricing factors. Processing fees may optionally be covered by the supporter. There is no setup fee, no monthly fee, and no contracts. Payouts go only to the authorized connected account of the team or organization.

6. Refunds, chargebacks, and disputes

Refund and dispute handling is described in the Refund Policy. Chargebacks and payment reversals may be debited from the organizer's payout account, and repeated disputes can result in account restrictions.

7. Prohibited activity

You may not use MyTeamPledge for unlawful purposes, misrepresent a fundraiser or its beneficiary, misappropriate funds, harass users, or submit content you don't have the rights to use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Content and intellectual property

You retain rights to content you submit (photos, stories, text) and grant us the license needed to display it on the platform. Don't submit content that violates others' rights, and obtain appropriate permissions — including for images of minors.

9. Availability, liability, and indemnification

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to amounts you paid us in the preceding twelve months, and you agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your fundraiser's representations or your violation of these Terms. (These provisions are pending final legal review.)

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts and fundraisers that violate these Terms, present legal or safety risks, or whose payment providers restrict processing. Where possible, organizers will be notified and given an opportunity to respond.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms; material changes will be flagged on the platform, and continued use constitutes acceptance. Questions: contact MyTeamPledge support through the app.
