Refund Policy

Last updated: September 5, 2026

1. General approach

Contributions on MyTeamPledge are contributions to a team or organization's fundraiser. Because funds are raised for a stated purpose, refunds are not automatic — but we and the organizer take genuine problems seriously and address them as described below.

2. Situations we address

  • Duplicate charges: refunded in full upon verification.
  • Technical or payment errors: corrected or refunded by the organizer or platform once verified.
  • Unauthorized or fraudulent transactions: refunded where verification supports the claim; chargebacks are handled through the cardholder's bank.
  • Fundraiser cancellation or significant non-performance: where a fundraiser is cancelled before its purpose is carried out, or contributions cannot be applied as represented, organizers are expected to refund contributions and supporters may be entitled to remedies under applicable law.
  • Organizer-requested refunds: organizers may refund a contribution through their payment account at their discretion.
  • Excess funds: if a fundraiser raises more than needed, the organizer decides how to apply the excess consistent with the fundraiser's representations and applicable law.

3. Participant departure is not a refund event

Contributions remain part of the team's fundraiser even if a participant leaves the team. A departure does not automatically refund, transfer, or pay out contributions attributed through that participant.

4. Chargebacks and disputes

We may respond to chargebacks with the contribution records we hold. Repeated disputes can restrict an account or fundraiser.

5. How to request a refund

Contact the fundraiser's organizer first — they can process refunds directly. If you can't reach them or need help, contact MyTeamPledge support with the contribution details from your receipt. (Processing windows and final procedures pending legal and payments review.)
