Team Shop & Merchandise Terms

Last updated: September 6, 2026

Effective date: September 6, 2026

These Team Shop & Merchandise Terms ("Team Shop Terms") govern the sale of merchandise through a Team Shop hosted on MyTeamPledge. When an organizer enables a Team Shop, they accept these terms on behalf of their team or organization. When a customer places an order, the transaction is a purchase from the team or organization — it is not a charitable contribution and is not tax-deductible.

1. Who sells the merchandise

MyTeamPledge provides the technology that allows the team or organization (the "Seller") to list products, accept orders, process payments, and manage orders. The Seller is the merchant of record for every product listed in its Team Shop. MyTeamPledge does not manufacture, purchase, warehouse, package, ship, deliver, or fulfill any merchandise, does not hold physical inventory, and does not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or availability of any product.

The Seller is responsible for product accuracy and compliance, inventory, fulfillment, pickup/shipping, customer merchandise questions, exchanges, and returns, subject to applicable law and these terms.

2. Organizer responsibilities

  • List only products the Seller may lawfully sell and that comply with Section 3 (Prohibited Products).
  • Keep product listings, prices, images, and descriptions accurate and current.
  • Manage inventory honestly, including marking products sold out when unavailable.
  • Fulfill paid orders promptly, via the pickup and/or shipping methods the Seller offers.
  • Provide clear pickup instructions and honor the shipping charges and timelines presented at checkout.
  • Handle merchandise-related support, returns, and exchanges directly with customers.
  • Comply with all laws applicable to the sale of goods, including consumer-protection and, where applicable, sales-tax obligations (see Section 6).

3. Prohibited products

Team Shop must not be used to sell, among other things:

  • Weapons, ammunition, or dangerous items regulated under applicable law.
  • Illegal products, counterfeit goods, or goods that infringe any trademark, copyright, or other intellectual-property right.
  • Alcohol, tobacco, vaping products, cannabis, or controlled substances.
  • Drugs, medical devices, or products making health or medical claims.
  • Adult products or sexually explicit material.
  • Products that promote hate, violence, harassment, or discrimination.
  • Live animals or regulated agricultural products.
  • Financial products, gift cards, or pre-paid redemptions.
  • Any product whose sale would violate applicable law or MyTeamPledge policies.

Products may be reported, disabled, or removed from public sale for violations. Repeated or serious violations may result in suspension or termination of the Seller's Team Shop and fundraiser account.

4. Orders, pricing, and payment

All prices are set by the Seller and shown in U.S. dollars. Order totals — merchandise, shipping charges, and applicable taxes — are calculated by MyTeamPledge at checkout and confirmed by the customer before payment. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. An order is created only after payment is confirmed.

MyTeamPledge charges the Seller a platform fee of 3% of the merchandise subtotal, plus applicable payment-processing fees, deducted from the Seller's proceeds. These fees are never added to the customer's total. A purchase through Team Shop is financially and functionally distinct from a contribution made through a fundraiser, and merchandise sales are never counted as contributions in fundraising totals.

5. Fulfillment, returns, exchanges, and refunds

Fulfillment is managed by the Seller. Where the Seller offers local pickup, pickup instructions are shown to the customer after successful payment. Where the Seller offers shipping, the Seller ships the order to the address provided at checkout.

Returns and exchanges are managed by the Seller under the Seller's own merchandise policy and applicable law. MyTeamPledge's fundraising refund policy does not apply to merchandise orders. Payment refunds requested through the platform are processed via Stripe and synchronized with the order record; the timing of the customer's receipt of refunded funds depends on the customer's payment provider.

6. Sales tax

The sale of merchandise may create sales-tax obligations for the Seller. The Seller is responsible for determining, collecting, remitting, and reporting any sales tax required by applicable law for its merchandise sales. MyTeamPledge does not calculate or remit sales tax on the Seller's behalf unless and until an automated tax mechanism is expressly enabled and documented for the Seller's Team Shop.

7. Customer information

To fulfill orders, the Seller receives the customer's name, email, phone (where provided), and shipping address (where applicable). MyTeamPledge handles this information as described in our Privacy Policy and shares it with the Seller solely for order fulfillment, merchandise support, and legal compliance. Providing a phone number never implies consent to receive marketing or SMS messages.

8. No charitable contribution

Merchandise purchases support the Seller's fundraising efforts, but a purchase is not a charitable contribution and no part of a merchandise purchase should be treated as tax-deductible. Receipts for merchandise orders describe a purchase from the Seller, not a donation.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Team Shop Terms from time to time. The version in effect when a Seller enables Team Shop, and when a customer places an order, governs that transaction. Continued use of Team Shop after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Contact. Questions about a merchandise order should be directed to the team or organization named on the order. Questions about the MyTeamPledge Team Shop platform can be sent through our contact channels listed on the site.
